To direct, plan and co-ordinate the effective
deployment of community care assistants as a continuous process to ensure
their work programmes provide the best match of skill and time available to
service users and their carers.
To manage and participate in the out of hours on
call rota across the team, as necessary, to provide emergency support to
staff and service users, and to respond in person if necessary.
To provide cover for absent colleagues in an
emergency, to ensure the smooth operation of the service across the area.
The Co-ordinator will report and discuss any
significant changes in the service user’s situation with the Manager.
The Co-ordinator may be required to organise,
attend and provide review reports to the Manager, participating in formal
reviews of service users and staff.
The Co-ordinator will develop his/her skills and
knowledge by attending supervision, training and meetings as requested.
To assist in providing leadership within the area
on equality issues to ensure equality, fairness and dignity to service
delivery and employment.
The Co-ordinator will be responsible to and
managed by the Registered Manager.
